Grouping, hiding, and renaming holdings
Custom groups, a Hidden screen, and a rename that never overwrites what your brokerage reports.
Groups and hiding
Holdings can be sorted into custom groups, and individual holdings can be hidden from the main list. A Hidden screen manages everything you have hidden, so nothing is lost.
Renaming
The Details tab on a holding's screen has a Name field. For a holding linked through Plaid, this saves a nickname that only changes what Seed displays. The brokerage's own name and ticker stay underneath and are never overwritten, and clearing the field returns to the institution's name. The Symbol field is read-only for linked holdings.
Manually added assets and collectibles work differently: renaming one changes its real name, because you are the source of truth for it.
