This Privacy Policy explains how Seed Net Worth, Inc. (“Seed,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our websites, mobile and web applications, and services (collectively, the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy.
Who We Are
Seed is operated by Deezy Investments.
We provide tools to track net worth, analyze spending, forecast finances, and surface opportunities using secure integrations and AI-powered insights (“Gardener AI”).
Information We Collect
1) You Provide
- Name, email, and login credentials.
- Profile details you choose to add (e.g., avatar).
- Financial goals, budgeting preferences, and notes you store.
- Support messages and survey responses.
- Receipts/documents you upload.
2) From Linked Accounts (with your consent)
- Via Plaid or similar provider: balances, transactions, account and institution identifiers, and related metadata for linked bank, card, loan, and investment accounts.
- We do not move money or initiate payments without your explicit authorization.
3) Credit Data (optional)
- If you enable credit features, we may obtain your credit score, credit report data, and alerts from a credit bureau provider with your written instructions under the FCRA.
4) Automatic Device & Usage Data
- Device info, IP address, OS/app version, crash/perf logs.
- On Android, we may collect your Advertising ID (GAID) to support subscription attribution and analytics via RevenueCat and PostHog. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
- Usage events (pages viewed, clicks) to improve reliability and product experience. We use PostHog for analytics.
- Cookies or similar tech on the web app for session management and analytics.
5) Payment Data
- App subscriptions are managed through Apple/Google and RevenueCat. We do not store your full payment card details.
How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Platform.
- Link accounts and refresh financial data (Plaid); display net worth, budgets, and trends.
- Generate Gardener AI insights (coaching, summaries, forecasts) using your data and an AI provider.
- Process subscriptions and entitlements (RevenueCat).
- Monitor performance and usage (PostHog) to fix bugs and improve UX.
- Communicate important updates and support messages.
- Create aggregated/de-identified analytics to improve Seed.
- Comply with law, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms.
Security
- Encryption: TLS in transit; encrypted at rest.
- Supabase RLS + RBAC: Row-Level Security ensures users can only access their own records; role-based controls limit access.
- Least privilege, audit logging, monitoring and secure key management. Deployment via Vercel with hardened configuration.
- We are implementing controls aligned to SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
No system is 100% secure. Use strong passwords, keep devices updated, and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Gardener AI
- When you use AI features, certain prompts and context may be sent to an AI provider to generate responses.
- Outputs are for educational purposes and may be imperfect, always verify before acting.
- We take steps to minimize sharing of unnecessary personal data with AI systems.
Financial Information & Emotional Well-Being
Reviewing your financial picture, including your net worth, spending habits, debts, and progress toward goals, can sometimes bring up strong emotions such as stress, anxiety, shame, pride, or overwhelm. This is completely normal. Money is deeply personal, and seeing your financial reality clearly can feel significant.
Seed is not a mental health service. We do not provide therapy, counseling, crisis support, or any form of psychological or emotional treatment. All insights and AI-generated content on the Platform are for informational and educational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional mental health or financial advice.
If you find that reviewing your financial information is causing significant distress, we encourage you to reach out to a qualified mental health professional for support.
Data Retention & Deletion
How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain your personal data only for as long as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. The table below summarizes retention periods by data category.

How to Delete Your Account
You can delete your account directly in the app:
- Open the app and go to Account Settings.
- Scroll to Data & Privacy and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm by typing DELETE in the confirmation prompt.
- Your account and associated data are deleted immediately.
Alternatively, email [email protected] with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and we will process your request within 30 days.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
- Your profile, transactions, budgets, forecasts, and AI chat history are permanently deleted from our database.
- Uploaded receipts and invoice documents are removed from cloud storage immediately.
- Linked financial account connections are revoked; we do not retain access tokens.
- Aggregated or de-identified analytics data may be retained to improve the product but cannot be linked back to you.
- Billing records are retained for up to 7 years as required by tax and accounting law.
Note: Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Export any data you wish to keep before deleting your account.
Your Choices & Rights
- Access, update, or delete certain info in your account settings or by contacting support.
- Disconnect linked accounts any time in the app.
- Opt-out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link (we’ll still send essential service messages).
- Depending on your region, you may have additional rights (e.g., to portability or to object/restrict certain processing). Reach us at [email protected].
International Users
We operate in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the U.S., your data will be processed there and may be subject to different laws than where you live.
Children’s Privacy
The Platform is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. If changes are material, we’ll notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after notice means you accept the changes.
